The last research seminar before the summer breakΒ will be held on 4 July from 5 pm to 6.30 pm, atΒ Luiss Guido Carli University, Via Parenzo 11 Campus (lecture hall 15).

ProfessorΒ Scott J. ShackelfordΒ is the Provost Professor of Business Law and Ethics at theΒ Indiana University – Kelley School of Business. He serves as the Executive Director ofΒ The Ostrom WorkshopΒ and the Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research. He is also an Affiliated Scholar at both the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Stanford’s Center for Internet and Society.

This presentation will focus on recent research and a forthcoming edited volume (Cambridge University Press, 2024) on the topic, which investigates attacks on both the voting processes as well as on the broader informational environment within which voting takes place around the world. Case studies and meta-analyses are featured to better understand cyber-enabled threats to election infrastructure, along with efforts to manage misinformation and disinformation around the world.
