From October 3rd to 5th, we will be in Verona for the Planetary Health Festival, a project by Healtival and the Municipality of Verona, focused on raising awareness about Planetary Health and promoting concrete actions for the future.
We are excited to join the seminar “𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘣𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴”, which will take place over three days of activities dedicated to citizens, economic and scientific operators, and decision-makers.
From Verona, these initiatives will reach out to the world, aiming to concretely improve the future of present and future generations and activate a process of change.

During Freshers’ Week 2024 at Luiss Guido Carli University, the new MSc in Strategic Management, Innovation & Sustainability was presented yesterday by the Co-Director, Professor Christian Iaione.
Marijana Krstić, a Law, Digital Innovation and Sustainability Alumna, also shared her experience of founding a startup, Shades Of Blue, during her studies, highlighting the practical opportunities offered by the program.
The discussion focused on how the course aims to train professionals capable of navigating dynamic markets, characterized by rapid technological innovations and complex ecological challenges.
With an inquiry-based learning approach, students are placed at the center of the educational experience, turning them into active protagonists of their learning journey. They engage in collaborative research, applying theory in practical ways through real-world projects developed in partnership with leading companies.
We are excited to welcome the new generation of students ready to make a difference.

The long weekend of training at the Sibillini Europa Summer School, held from August 28 to September 1 in Amandola, has just come to an end.
A wonderful initiative by Associazione Sibillini-Europa that gave many young students the opportunity to engage with experts and professionals on key topics of the European Union, in which we proudly contributed to discussions on sustainable innovation.

The fantastic experience at IE University for the ICON•S Annual Conference is coming to an end.
This morning, a panel titled: “Theoretical and Methodological Approaches to the Study of Vulnerabilities in the Digital State” took place.
Marijana Krstić, a Luiss Guido Carli University researcher, presented “A Mission-Driven Technology Transfer Process for Sustainable Development: The Role of Universities of Social Sciences and the Law“.
Following this, the speakers were: Sofia Ranchordas from Tilburg University; Susana de la Sierra from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha; and Jannice Käll from Lund University.
Finally, the two PhD candidates from Luiss Guido Carli University, Adriano Contardi and Davide Testa, presented a talk titled: “Impact-Based Deliberative-Collaborative Democracy: Digital Platforms Supporting Innovation for Cities and Local Communities“.

The panel we presided over today, July 9, 2024, during the ICON•S Annual Conference, was chaired by Professor Christian Iaione, titled: “Power Asymmetries in the Algorithmic State“.
The speakers in this panel were: Sangh Rakshita and Sofia Ranchordas from Tilburg University; Carmen María Rodríguez Plaza from Universidad Complutense de Madrid; and Antonio Davola, from the Università degli Studi di Bari, with a discussion on “Framing Data-Power Imbalances in Administrative Interactions“.
The researchers and the LabGov team are truly honored to attend a conference of this caliber like ICON•S, which this year is the largest ICON-S conference ever and one of the biggest public law events to date.
