During the second edition of 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 – 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, at Luiss Guido Carli University, the President of Assoholding, Gaetano De Vito, honored Professor Simona Romani as the regenerative leader.
“At Luiss, we develop programmes to make our students protagonists of the transformations of the future,” explained prof. 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢. “I would like to contribute with them to bring about these changes in the world. The award is an incentive for me to think about a regenerative future for children and those less fortunate”.
After interesting speeches by high-profile speakers and the prize awarded to Prof. Simona Romani, the Luiss LDIS students had the opportunity to present their X-Labs ideas.
The winners were awarded the Assoholding Award and they will follow in the footsteps of “Shades of Blue”, the X-Labs winner of the 1st Common Home, now registered as a start-up.

Today, 27 April, 2023, the Final Pitching Day was held at the House of Emerging Technologies in Rome.
After institutional greetings and an introduction by Daniele Gallo (Rector’s Advisor for Engage Alliance) and a motivational speech by Charles Wolofsky (Ctrl+E Founder and CEO) on Law and Entrepreneurship, the 6 groups of X-Labs and GrInnLab university students presented their innovative ideas to a panel of experts and potential partners (e.g. financiers, companies and institutions).
The final pitching day continued with matchmaking, where we gave students the opportunity to meet with companies and potential partners to explain better their ideas and match them with internship opportunities they might be available to grant.
The companies that participated were: EY; NTT data; Technip Energies; Enel; Cilia Italia; MSD; AGID; Invitalia; Assholding; Roma Capitale; LabGov ETS.
At the end of the day, Wellbeing Team, one of the six X-Labs groups was awarded the CTE (House of Emerging Technologies) prize.
It was a day full of opportunities for the students.

In the X-Labs Final Pitching Day event students will present their proof of concept developed through the X-Labs path and methodology to experts and potential partners (e.g. funders, companies, and institutional figures). It will be held on Thursday 27 April at the House of Emerging Technologies in Rome (Tiburtina station, second floor of the commercial gallery) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Participants registration will start at 9:30 am.
The open and collaborative innovation X-Labs, the laboratory within Luiss Guido Carli’s LDIS master’s degree programme, is a capstone module inspired by and designed after the Luiss enquiry – based model and the EngageUniversity.eu approach. It saw this year many students participate with enthusiasm and dedication. It has been a collaborative and experimental learning path, geared towards acquiring the skills and abilities needed to meet the challenges set by the partners by leveraging the power of research and empirical evidence. Supported by our mentors and guided along their path by them, students responded with an evidence-based approach, good collaboration, mission-oriented attitude, and solid teamwork. And they were able to acquire the foundations on which the X-Labs path is based. The six mentors who supported and supervised the students this year were:
– The Future of Cities and Regions, Mauro Annunziato (ex-Enea)
– The Future of Transportation, Andrea Buonomini (Ratp-dev Italia)
– The Future of Energy, Telcos and Infrastructure, Carlo Papa (Fondazione Enel)
– The Future of Industry and Manufacturing, Nicola Angelo Marotta (Technip)
– The Future of Earth, Elisabetta Tatí (Luiss Guido Carli and LabGov)
– The Future of Wellbeing, Enrico Foglia (BIP)
On Thursday, April 27th 2023 we will see the results of the projects, and how the students divided into 6 groups have responded to the challenges set to prepare them for the working environment and social context. This will be an important opportunity because, through dialogue and discussion, they will gain further insights and suggestions from prestigious professional and academic figures, which they can put into practice to effectively implement their projects, technological solutions, business ideas, and policy or legal proposals.
The event will be divided into two sections: in the first, the 6 groups from X-Labs and the guest participation of the undergraduate students of the GrInnLab will present their innovative ideas to a panel of experts and potential partners (e.g. funders, companies, and institutions). The pitch event slot is scheduled for April 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
At the end of the final pitching day on April 27, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in an orientation way, there will be a second segment of the event where we would like to give students a chance to meet with companies and potential partners to explain better their ideas and match them with internship opportunities companies and potential partners might be available to grant. The director of the Istituzione Sistema Biblioteche e Centri Culturali di Roma Capitale, Mariarosaria Senofonte, gave a stimulating presentation today for the last GrInn Lab lesson.
The Sistema Biblioteche di Roma, founded in 1996, has always represented a strategic socio-cultural pole for the city, through a network of 39 libraries located in the city’s 15 municipalities, guaranteeing free access to knowledge and information.
In the second part of the lesson, the Luiss Institutional Relations Manager – LabGov gave an explanation on business presentations and academic presentations in English, a lesson that allowed the students to gather valuable tips that can be useful for next Thursday’s final presentation and for their academic and working future.
This year has been a GrInn lab full of encounters, cross-curricular and multi-sectoral experiences and we are extremely proud of this.
We still have an important date ahead of us on the 27th, at the House of Emerging Technologies where the final presentation of the Co-Roma platform will take place.

After the insights and precious insights gained during the debate held with Dr. Edoardo Zanchini, today, 21 April, the GrInn Lab students performed a simulation of the final presentation to be held next Thursday, 27 April, at the House of Emerging Technologies.
It is less and less to the end of this path, but we are satisfied with the skills transmitted and confident in having supported the students, as future social innovators, by supporting and working with an innovative approach toward the main environmental issues.

On April 14, 2023, The House of Emerging Technologies of Rome (CTE) hosted a meeting with students of the GrInn Lab of Luiss Guido Carli, in a discussion with Dr. Edoardo Zanchini, Head of the Climate Office of the City of Rome.
The meeting was enriched by the presence of qualified speakers such as architect Claudia Meloni (ENEA); Dr. Alessandro Piperno, Programme Manager of the House of Emerging Technologies in Rome; and with the support of Dr. Elisabetta Tatì, Luiss researcher.
The discussion touched on climate sustainability from multiple points, especially exploring the energy communities, from regulatory constraints to benefits for individuals and collectives, always keeping social viability as a priority.
GrInn Lab students intervened with questions and trivia that were interesting for their own knowledge and path and useful for achieving the program goals.
