The Italian food is the best food of ever, but every year in Italy is thrown away € 12.3 billion of food. We are crazy? The answer is no, but the food that we buy and consume it’s too much and we waste it. For this reason I Food Share (IFS) was born http://www.ifoodshare.org/Default.aspx . IFS is a new platform which help Italian people to sharing food and becoming good citizens from their houses. IFS is a non-profit organization, which created an online platform for sharing food and allows to conjugate the demand for food products for humanitarian purposes with the recovery and the provision of food. The system is a horizontal system where the protagonists are citizens, companies and associations. The main objectives pursued are: solidarity, sustainability and promotion of Italian alimentary goods. How it works? In order to donate or benefit of the baskets made available in the system is necessary to register in the appropriate area. Donors and recipients come into contact through an internal messaging system and make arrangements for delivery/pickup. This initiative appraises the principle of co-operation, reinstates the value of food and fight against the culture of an inflamed and egoistic consumerism.

Le matricole Luiss rispondono!
Ieri si è svolta la giornata della matricola presso la Luiss Guido Carli, e Labgov con il suo stand e i suoi membri si è fatto conoscere nel campus! I labgovernauti sono andati alla ricerca di cittadini attivi per tutta l’università, e ne hanno trovati più di quanti se ne potessero aspettare!
A colpi di hula-hoop, lavagnette e pennarello , i nuovi studenti sono stati coinvolti, in un contest fotografico. Ai ragazzi, che fossero di economia, giurisprudenza o scienze politiche, veniva fatta una semplice domanda: “Cos’è un bene comune?” ed ognuno doveva riportare il suo pensiero, con una frase o un disegno, sulla lavagnetta; cheese… foto e sei nella rete Labgov. Lo stesso Direttore Generale dell’ateneo, Giovanni Lo Storto, ha partecipato, regalandoci il fantastico schizzo di un “super-cittadino attivo”.
Acqua, casa, lavoro, Colosseo, tante le risposte dei ragazzi, da definizioni tecniche a disegni rappresentativi, che hanno permesso a Labgov di capire la percezione che i ragazzi hanno in materia di cura condivisa, di beni comuni e senso civico.
Una giornata produttiva da ogni punto di vista nell’ottica della mission di Labgov:
- ragazzi entusiasti
- scambio di idee
- associazionismo
La rete di Labgov non si è fatta conoscere solo tra gli studenti. Un particolare, quanto
eccitante fenomeno ha coinvolto il Laboratorio per la governance dei beni comuni: l’associazionismo dell’associazionismo. Cosa vuol dire? Vuol dire che durante la Giornata della Matricola, Labgov ha incontrato, ed è stata incontrata da alcune associazioni dell’università con cui sono già nate idee di collaborazione e di
innovazione.
Il prossimo passo sarà metterle in pratica!

If you are saying you cannot find a corporate social responsibility in Italy, well, you are definitely wrong. Thereexists several cases, even in the eco-friendly architecturefield. Of course, our works are nowhere near to the major Australian infrastructure, but in our country there are so many hotels and buildings which are environmentally sustainable.
One example is the new shopping center for the Coop inOrbetello, the first one in Italy that is carbon-free. The entire building is covered by sustainable materials with a design that is in perfect harmony with the WWF Oasis of Laguna that rises just in front of the center. A real point of contact between nature and urban space. The eco-sustainability is everywhere: in design, with areas designated for bird-watching, with public outfields and parking facilities blendedwith green spaces; in the energy mechanisms, with windows that open to shed which allows to take themaximum advantage of the light and heating/cooling systems powered by solar panels and photovoltaic systems.
The most interesting thing is the supermarket structure, withwalls made up of recycled raw materials and totally energy-saving internal systems. In other words: Coop Carbon-free. What does that mean? The refrigerators have self-closingdoors and the interior lights automatically raise or lower the light spectrum. No more carbon emissions!
Furthermore, during the works have been used specialpractices to minimize the noise, the vibrations and the dustsin the air.
The human being should recover a connection with nature and the environment to learn to appreciate and respect it.

Nessuno di noi spesso, si rende conto di quanto il nostro corpo lotti, ogni giorno contro l‘inquinamento. L’aria delle grandi città è satura di polveri sottili, l’acqua è sempre meno pulita, perché assorbe ed accumula le scorie presenti nei terreni che percorre. Tutto ciò, lo si deve all’uomo, ed al suo comportamento sconsiderato, condotto in un ottica di guadagno. Eppure, la nostra Costituzione, all’articolo 32, sancisce il diritto alla salute. Fortunatamente, tante persone conoscono l’importanza di questo diritto, che è anche un valore, il valore di regalare ai nostri figli un futuro migliore, in un ambiente più salubre.
A Brescia ad esempio, dove la situazione dal punto di vista dell’inquinamento è davvero gravissima, i cittadini, davanti l’indifferenza delle amministrazioni, hanno tentato la via della protesta non convenzionale, attraverso flash mob, occupazioni di scuole elementari, e numerose iniziative dal basso che hanno coinvolto l’indignazione di tutta la popolazione.
La salute non è un optional, ma un diritto per cui bisogna battersi. L’Italia è uno dei paesi più sviluppati del globo, e se l’Italia cerca di aiutare i paesi del Terzo mondo ad avere acqua corrente potabile, non può permettersi situazioni come quella di Brescia!

The project “Active Schools Network” aims to spread within schools the values of horizontal subsidiarity, active citizenship and the shared care of the commons. The project uses the method of clinic education adopting a bottom-up approach based on the idea that where born a need there is also an explanation.
In Italy lacks civicness and civic culture. The project “Active Schools Network”, based on an informal model of education to the civic maintenance of the commons, has the objective to train the new generation to take part and to be leading actors of the shared administration. The students shall live the commons and become protagonist of the practice of the principle of subsidiarity by giving them the methodology for dealing with complex issues through the method of learning by doing.
The project is structure as follows:
- 1. Training: learning of the basic concepts about horizontal subsidiarity, commons and shared administration. The method adopted utilizes participative and interactive lessons, watching of enjoyable video and continuous debate in class trying to stimulate the participation of the students.
- 2. Selection of the project: individuation of a commons (tangible or intangible / material or immaterial) chosen according to the requirements of the students.
- 3. Realization of the project chosen in the classroom
In order to create a Network the project plans to organize an avente at the conclusion. In particular it will be a Christmas Party in conjunction with a press conference. During the event will be presented the activities made throughout the months of the project by all the schools involved through an exposition of the creative works made by the students entitles “The commons for you”
Moreover the project aims to create a replicable format of “Active Schools Network” in order to be exported in all schools that decide to apply.
The final phase of the project is the moment of an intergenerational passing the baton. The students become aware to be part of a community and to be active citizens able to transfer and share value and competences of the horizontal subsidiarity.
